Afsana\r\nKhatoon, a 34-year-old woman from Barsam village in Madhubani\r\ndistrict, struggled to support her family of five as a daily wage laborer\r\nearning ₹300 per day. To improve her livelihood, GPSVS enrolled her in a\r\n1-month Mason training program, providing her with technical skills and\r\npractical knowledge. After completing the training, Afsana secured work as a\r\nMason worker, doubling her daily\r\nincome to ₹600.\r\nThis significant increase in earnings has enabled her to provide better\r\neducation, healthcare, and nutrition for her children, enhancing their overall\r\nwell-being. Additionally, the training empowered Afsana with confidence and\r\ndecision-making abilities, making her a role model for other women in her\r\ncommunity. Inspired by her success, many women in the village have started\r\nexploring skill development opportunities.
